32: Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes 📻🎹🎼

Hello dear one,

Can you believe it is the end of May already?! Lots of changes going on in my household right now and that got me thinking about the definition of change.

Changeverb; make someone or something different; alter or modify
noun; the act or instance of making or becoming different

In the words of Stevie Nicks “Can I handle the seasons of my life?” The song Landslide is going through my head as I write this. My son just graduated from college, my daughter graduated last year and is interviewing for her dream job. Lastly, my husband is moving into a new position at work and I have been working on growing my jewelry business.

Change is good but not always easy. Often, it triggers all kinds of emotions. Joy, excitement, sadness, anxiety and fear to name a few. I feel like I have experienced all of these and more in the past month. Mostly, the joy and excitement is for my children and all the hard work they put in to finish college and find their paths in this world. The sadness stems from them leaving the nest and it is hard to let your babies go. My anxiety and fear is what they will face in today’s ever changing world.

Change also offers opportunities for growth both personal, professional, emotional and spiritual.

My mom duties are complete and now it is time to concentrate on my dreams of continuing the family jewelry business (my parents retired during Covid). Making jewelry is my creative outlet. I enjoy working with stones and crystals. The energy they hold amazes me and I love putting positive energy into them with Reiki to help bring joy to their new caretakers.

I asked spirit what would be a good way to deal with change. I drew a card from The Messenger of Spirit Oracle deck by Whitney McNeill. The Pause card popped out. It has a picture of a kitten sleeping on a crescent moon. The message is to take time to reflect and integrate and wait. Reflect on the lessons you’ve learned and integrate them before moving on to the next big thing. Release what no longer serves you to allow yourself to get clear on your next steps. Journaling would be a good tool to help with this process. Whitney also suggested working with the blue chalcedony crystal during this time.

I will take the advice I was given to pause, reflect and integrate all the changes I have been through. I will journal, take time for myself (listen to music), wear my chalcedony crystal bracelet and plan out my next steps slowly for the next phase of my life; both personal and professional.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope it helps someone else out there who is going through changes of their own to know they are not alone. Obviously this season comes to all of us sooner or later.

Love and light,

Rosalie
